Inbolt, a Paris-based developer of adaptive vision systems for industrial robots, has closed an €11 million funding round aimed at scaling its operations globally and penetrating new vertical markets. Shift4Good led the investment, joined by returning backers BNP Paribas Développement and Ora Global, as well as newcomer Bridges Climate Transition Partners. The round brings the company's cumulative funding to €30 million.

Founded in 2019 by Rudy Cohen (CEO), Albane Dersy (COO) and Louis Dumas (CTO), Inbolt addresses a persistent challenge in factory automation: robots that cannot respond flexibly when production conditions shift. Misaligned components, worn tooling and other environmental variations force robots to halt, trigger errors or manufacture defective goods—all of which drive expensive production stoppages.

The company's platform pairs 3D vision technology with hardware-agnostic AI software, enabling robots to detect environmental changes and recalibrate their movements instantaneously. Because the solution works across different robot brands and models, manufacturers can retrofit existing production lines without scrapping their current equipment.

Inbolt's technology is already operational across more than 200 robots deployed in over 100 factories on three continents. The customer roster spans major industrial names: Bosch, Beko, Flex, Ford, Stellantis and Toyota.

Robots have been running blind for fifty years. Fixing that isn't about better hardware. It's about giving every robot, regardless of make or model, the intelligence to see and adapt in real time. This round lets us bring that to manufacturers everywhere, not just the ones with the deepest integration budgets.

The capital will fuel expansion in the United States, where Inbolt opened a Detroit office in 2026, and throughout the Asia-Pacific region. The company also intends to launch offerings tailored to data centres and electronics manufacturing, two sectors where adaptive automation could unlock significant efficiency gains.
