Ahron, a Munich-based HR technology company, has closed a €2.2 million funding round led by Cusp Capital. The round also drew participation from superangels and business angels active in the HR sector, among them Sabine Kohleisen, who previously served as Board Member for HR at Mercedes-Benz Group.

Carl Hoffmann and Rado Pavlov launched Ahron at the end of last year with a focus on building an AI agent-based platform that orchestrates HR processes across an organisation's existing software stack. Rather than introducing yet another standalone HR tool, the platform functions as an intelligent layer operating on top of legacy and modern HR systems already in place.

The startup is tackling a widespread challenge in enterprise HR: the proliferation of disconnected tools. Many large organisations rely on more than a hundred different systems with minimal integration capabilities. Ahron equips AI agents with the contextual knowledge and policy frameworks necessary to navigate and execute tasks across these fragmented environments—from gathering input from hiring managers and validating payroll operations to orchestrating employee onboarding workflows.

The platform's architecture rests on a strategic partnership with Celonis. Ahron leverages Celonis's Process Intelligence technology to construct a digital representation of an organisation's HR workflows by analysing data from existing systems. This digital twin enables the platform to pinpoint opportunities for AI intervention and furnish agents with the situational awareness they require to execute processes reliably.

A central governance layer represents another key component of Ahron's offering. Through this interface, organisations can establish and oversee the policies and constraints that guide how AI agents behave across HR operations.

HR is a particularly sensitive area. When AI agents operate independently here, they need clear guardrails and policies to make sure they always act within the rules. That's exactly what our platform enables: companies can define and manage those guardrails and policies centrally across the entire HR context – for every process and every agent alike

Rado Pavlov, co-founder and COO of Ahron

By handling routine administrative tasks, the platform aims to free HR professionals from repetitive work, enabling them to concentrate on higher-value activities including talent development, leadership coaching and cultural initiatives.

Since the beginning of this year, Ahron has generated over €1 million in annual recurring revenue and has signed customers across both the United States and Europe.

Our customers don't measure success by how many AI agents they've deployed. They measure it by what actually counts: faster processes, meaningfully lower costs, and HR teams who can put their capacity where it truly creates value – leadership, development, culture. That's the standard we hold ourselves to at Ahron

Carl Hoffmann, co-founder and CEO of Ahron

The fresh capital will support product development, particularly the central control layer that supplies context to AI agents, as well as geographic expansion beyond current markets.
