Veridion, a business intelligence firm built on artificial intelligence, has closed a $20 million Series A funding round aimed at scaling its platform for real-time corporate data. Hoxton Ventures led the investment, joined by returning backers Underline Ventures, OTB Ventures, Gapminder, Day One Capital and Launchub.

Since its 2019 launch, Veridion has constructed what the company terms a live business graph—a digital map encompassing roughly 640 million enterprises across the globe that refreshes continuously as their circumstances shift. Rather than replacing existing intelligence tools, the platform augments them by delivering operational updates far more frequently than conventional alternatives.

The system ingests billions of signals drawn from corporate websites, public business registries, regulatory documents, online product listings, social media activity and vetted news outlets. By consolidating these sources, Veridion claims to reach a broader business universe and surface market shifts faster than legacy providers, which typically refresh their data on quarterly or yearly schedules.

Banks, investment firms, insurance companies and similar institutions increasingly demand fresher intelligence as rapid shifts in geopolitics, supply networks, climate extremes and economic conditions reshape business landscapes and relationships almost instantly.

Stefan Gergely, Head of Growth at Veridion, explained the urgency: "Whether it's conflict in the Middle East, trade tensions, extreme weather events, pandemics, or financial shocks, organisations need a much clearer and more up-to-date picture of how the business world is actually operating. Commercial risk now changes by the hour. Information updated quarterly or annually is no longer intelligence. It's history. Our system creates a continuously updated digital replica of the world's businesses, giving organisations the intelligence they need to understand changing conditions, identify new opportunities and make better decisions before disruption becomes a crisis."

Veridion currently serves more than 100 clients and maintains a workforce exceeding 60 people split between European and North American offices. The North American region already represents its strongest market.

The fresh capital will accelerate development of Veridion's intelligence capabilities and support its push into new geographic markets.
