Mews, an Amsterdam-headquartered hospitality operating system, has completed the purchase of Flexkeeping, a London firm specializing in housekeeping automation and hotel operations enhancement. The deal brings housekeeping management and staff coordination capabilities into Mews' unified platform, allowing hotel operators to oversee the complete guest journey—from arrival through departure—within a single system.

The integration combines housekeeping automation with Mews' existing suite of hotel management tools, including property management systems, revenue optimization, payment processing, and point-of-sale functionality. Through this combination, Mews intends to help hospitality operators boost workforce efficiency, cut operational expenses, and deliver reliable service quality to guests.

For the first time, Mews' customers will have a truly best-in-class housekeeping platform natively connected to their PMS. By integrating Flexkeeping's advanced housekeeping suite, Mews is set to revolutionise the way hotels manage cleanliness, scheduling and staff collaboration.

Flexkeeping: Hotel operations platform

Established in 2012, Flexkeeping delivers automation and scheduling solutions tailored for contemporary hotel housekeeping departments. The platform leverages detailed analytics to enable teams to make evidence-based choices that maximize returns, minimize staff turnover, and strengthen customer loyalty.

Key capabilities of the platform include:

  • Automation and smart scheduling
  • Real-time task management and communication
  • Seamless team collaboration
  • Flexible cleaning cycles

The platform addresses communication challenges by permitting staff to generate tasks in their preferred language using voice commands, which the system then automatically translates and directs to the relevant team. According to Flexkeeping's data, the technology has enabled hotel teams to achieve 40 per cent higher productivity levels, cut guest complaints by 45 per cent, and strengthen both employee satisfaction and visitor experiences.

Joining Mews accelerates our shared vision to make hotel operations effortless and data-driven. It's the natural next step for our team and technology, bringing the power of automation and collaboration to even more hoteliers around the world. I can't wait to set new standards in efficiency, staff happiness and guest satisfaction.
